Live for a Change

At the age of 23, I became pregnant and married my husband in my 6th month of pregnancy. Our first year of marriage was challenging to say the least. We separated and he moved to Texas while I stayed in Chicago with our daughter. Life was lonely and hard.

Then something changed.

About a year later, God laid it on my heart to reconcile myself to my husband by leaving my home and family to be with him in Texas. I was not very sure I wanted to do this, but I decided to trust in what I knew God was leading me to do. God is faithful. He took my obedience and used it for good. My husband came to know Christ. God blessed us with another child. And God gave me a wonderful church family at Sugar Creek.

Sixteen years of marriage later, I share this story so that others will know the true blessing of a life depending on and trusting in Christ alone.
